The Republican Specialized Scientific and Practical Medical Center of Endocrinology named after Academician Y.Kh. Turakulov is implementing a scientific project “Development of a method for biological monitoring of iodine deficiency in risk groups and updating diagnostic and treatment algorithms.”
Within the framework of the implementation of the tasks of this project, large-scale research is being conducted aimed at assessing the state of iodine provision of the population, in which the median concentration of iodine in urine is determined in children aged 7-12, i.e., school-age children.
Taking into account the state-level importance of monitoring iodine deficiency cases for the health of the nation, on February 10-13, 2026, specialists of the Republican Specialized Scientific and Practical Medical Center of Endocrinology named after Academician Y.Kh. Turakulov, Alimova N.U., Sadikova A.S., Yuldasheva F.Z., Omonova O.A., Tolipova D.A., conducted research in 1 school in each district of the Republic of Karakalpakstan.
