Every year on May 12, World Nurses’ Day is celebrated worldwide. This date was chosen by the International Council of Nurses in 1974 to honor the birthday of Florence Nightingale, one of the founders of the Sisters of Mercy service.

The invaluable labor and experience that accumulate over the years on the shoulders of nurses do not go to waste, but serve to heal patients from various diseases.

Nursing is one of the most complex and demanding professions, both in physical, intellectual, and emotional terms. Each of us has visited a medical institution at least once in our lives and has witnessed that there are nurses everywhere who participate in diagnosis and treatment.

In their work, nurses risk their lives in contact with patients with infectious diseases, they have to transfer patients from one bed to another, help them get up and lie down, change their position, sometimes they are the only employees with whom patients can keep in touch.
